Souhila obtained her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Université Paris Descartes in december 2004. She then joined Richard Treisman’s lab in Cancer Research UK in London where she did her post-doc. She was recruited as Maitre de Conférence (MCU) at the University Paris Diderot and she joined Jonathan Weitzman’s new team in November 2008. She works on the impact of methytransferases in a model of reversible leukocyte transformation and the implication of epigenetic modifications in cancer progression. She received the HDR (authorization to direct research) in 2013 and she has been nominated at the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) in 2015. She is co-director of the Master 2 of Genetics since 2022. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE: Assistant Professor at University Paris Cité, UMR 7216 CNRS in Pr Jonathan Weitzman laboratory.
