– Upright Zeiss Axioplan II microscope equipped with a very sensitive cooled camera coolsnap fx; a stage motorized along the Z axis; 5 excitation/emission filters with narrow band-paths to discriminate emitted light ranging from near-UV to far red; 20X and 40X dry objectives; 63X and 100X oil objectives 1.3 numerical aperture, apochromatic.

Upright Leica DMR microscope equipped with a cooled color camera Leica DFC; a stage motorized along the X/Y axis; 3 excitation/emission filters; 10X and 40X dry objectives; 100X oil objectives 1.25 numerical aperture.

– Inverted Leica DM IL LED equipped with a cooled Hamamatsu camera; 2 excitation/emission filters; 10X and 40X dry objectives; for the routine analyze of transfections with fluorescent proteins

– Microscopes are driven through MetaMorph software. A work-station with a MetaMorph offline software is also available. MetaMorph is a gold standard in image analysis and processing. Besides classical image analysis, quantification of signal and measurement of distances, several modules are also available for 2D and 3D deconvolution, colocalization analysis and cell tracking 3D reconstructions.
