Souhila obtained her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Université Paris V in december 2004. She then joined Richard Treisman’s lab in Cancer Research UK in London where she did her post-doc. She was recruited as Maitre de Conférence (MCU) at the University Paris Diderot in 2008. She joined Jonathan Weitzman’s new team in November 2008. She received the HDR (authorization to direct research) in 2013 and she has been nominated at the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) in 2015. She works on the transforming and invasive phenotypes in a model of reversible leukocyte transformation and the implication of epigenetics in cancer progression.
