Alexandre graduated from the European Master of Genetics in 2014 and obtained his PhD in 2018 from Paris Saclay University under the supervision of Jacques Grill and David Castel at the Institut Gustave Roussy. During his PhD, he developed and characterized in vitro and in vivo models of a particular form of gliomas (DIPGs) that harbour mutations in histone H3 genes. Then, these models were used to better decipher the underlying mechanisms promoting tumour cell migration in DIPGs. Alexandre joined the Polo group in 2019 to study the maintenance of histone post-translational modifications at sites of UV damage repair.
