Kasturi obtained her PhD at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in cell signaling and innate immunity.
She then came to the Rougeulle lab in September 2018 as post-doctoral fellow supported by the Labex “Who Am I?” and by the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale (FRM). She now works on the mechanisms of X chromosome inactivation in early human development. In the long run, she hopes to look at human health through the perspective of XCI.
Outside of lab, Kasturi is a science communication enthusiast. She also loves to explore places, good food and occasionally dabs into art.
