Call for new Research Group Leaders (junior or senior):
The Epigenetics and Cell Fate Centre brings together international researchers who are investigating the molecular mechanisms that determine cellular differentiation programs. The centre currently comprises seven internationally renowned groups and core facilities in Epigenomics and Lentivirus production. This offers an exciting opportunity for interactive research to explore the links between epigenetics and cell fate. Applicants should send a CV, a short description of scientific achievements (2 pages), a proposed research program (5 pages) and contact details for 3 referees by e-mail to Jonathan Weitzman and Valérie Mezger.
The application deadline is 30th April 2012.
The Labex project "Who Am I?" coordinated by Jonathan Weitzman and Catherine Dargemont (IJM) was one of 71 projects selected in the second call for Laboratoire d’Excellence. The consortium brings together labs from Paris 7 and Paris 5, including biologists, physicists and social scientists, to address issues of identity at the molecular, cellular and population levels. The project will be funded over an 8-year period and hopes to stimulate interdisciplinary research at our universities.
